She returned home. [It was hard to believe, and she couldn't imagine how devastated Usagi must be.]

How are you? Have you told Helios yet?

He might not say as much, but maybe you can ask him to help you prepare dinner, just... give him something else to focus on and be around your calming presence.

I... I don't know. I'm... I'm used to this but it doesn't make it hurt any less.

Of course. Come to the garden.

[It would be a bit loud inside, and she didn't want to disturb Setsuna or any of the others. Even as she sent the response, Michiru pulled out her violin and began to play a familiar song for Usagi. The notes drifted through the air calling gently down the hall.]

[Usagi makes her way to the garden and the notes are already soothing away a bit of the ache. She moved to sit on the stone bench in the garden and just watched as Michiru's fingers danced along the neck of the violin and the bow slid back and forth.

Eventually, her eyes found themselves closing as she let the music be the only thing on her mind.]

[Even with her eyes closed, Michiru could feel Usagi as she watched, her light and presence adding to the energy and emotions that were in the air. Gradually as the first song shifted into a second the flowers seemed to revive a little, the ones that started to wilt blooming again. The moisture in the air seeming to gleam and take the shape a small lady that admired them. Michiru continued to play as the amulet around her neck began to glow with the memories of the few moment she had to spend with Chibi Usa in this world, and back home. the joy of knowing that when she returned they would be returning to a normal life together, all of them preparing to resume classes.]

[The music brought a smile to Usagi's face, something she hadn't worn all day. The melody was beautiful, but of course it was, because it was Michiru playing it. She felt like she could be lulled to sleep by how beautiful and serene Michiru's music made her.

She could feel the joy in the song, and then took a deep breath.]

Your music always makes me feel better.

[When Michiru finished she lowered the bow and slowly opened her eyes as the images faded.]

I'm honored, and happy that I am able to help at least a little. Are you sure that you are alright?

[She let out a soft breath.]

In a way... Chibiusa is easier even... if I love her so much. She'd leave all the time to go back to her own time, so I know... I'll see her when it's time.

You will, when it's time. [They would all be reunited when it was time, at least that was what Setsuna had always said.]

I'm starting to feel super impatient, Michiru-san, like a snake that wants to shed its skin but is forbidden from doing so.

[The comparison made Michiru's back tingle for a moment, but she could understand what Usagi was trying to get at. It had been like that before, back before things had been mended between all of them.]

Well patience has never been your strongest point. And it can be hard having to wait, especially when there is so much that you want to do, that you need to do. I know that it's hard being here, away from everything for so long, but you will find a way to continue moving forward.

[She blushed at the fact that she was being called out on her lack of patience.]

Do you think... we get to a point where we can't move forward in one place anymore?

I don't know. All the years that we waited for you to re-awaken and for the others, we still had our responsibilities and duties to keep us occupied. Here there is little demand for that vigilance.

The real question is what you feel the answer to that question is? If you feel that you're stuck and can't move forward, then what does that leave as far as your choices are?

I don't know, I don't think so. I have a lot I don't know, and a lot to learn.

But I just... I turn 22 next year, and back home I knew what that meant for me. Here? Everything... is really unclear.

It's something that most people have to figure out at some point in their life. What they want to do and the career or calling that they want to follow.

True at home you're destined to become queen, but here you are able to choose whatever life you want.

Never really thought about what life I wanted, I always sorta thought of this place as putting my life on hold, ya know, like a vacation.

I mean, even on hold I've stayed busy. [Incredibly so.]

But maybe trying your way would be good for me.

[Michiru gave Usagi a hug.]

I hope that it is. And that you're able to figure out what you want with the time you've been given here.

[She hugged Michiru tightly, hiding her face in the woman's shoulder.]
